Glossary 2.0 is here!

According to Socrates, “The beginning of wisdom is the definition of terms.”

And to help you build a team that is full of wisdom, we’re excited to announce a valuable upgrade to our Glossary feature!

While many of you have used this feature within Knowledge, we’ve extended its capabilities and given it a place on the sidebar menu.

Glossary 2.0 comes with these awesome new features:

• Easily add new terms.

• Group words using Tags.

• Use Glossary Tags to easily make keyword lists for staff (more on this below)

• Easily grab a link to a word and share it with your team.

• Easily add new terms to the Glossary while creating your policies or procedures

• Add multiple synonyms to a term, such as abbreviations, acronyms and alternative spelling and even images to glossary terms.

Plus, all Glossary terms, tags, acronyms and synonyms also show up in the main search as shown below.

Easily Make Keyword Lists for your Team

In addition to making the Glossary a key feature, we’ve also upgraded how it works within Knowledge.

You can now embed an entire list of Glossary terms into a knowledge document. This makes creating a keyword list for new staff very easy.

Just tag all the words in your glossary with “keyword” and add that to your Knowledge document (this help doc shows you how)

You could do this for all major areas of your organization, such as:

• Basic keywords for all staff

• Finance keyword list

• Marketing keyword list

• Selling keyword list

• Security keyword list

• And so on….

How to Get Some Free Time

A client just called upset about the service they just received from the new guy. They called while you were trying to fix a proposal your salesperson sent through and there’s two missed calls on your phone from clients wondering when you will get back to them, not to mention the overflowing email inbox full of bad news.

All while pouring your blood, sweat and tears into your business, trying to edge it forward.

It was never this hard before.

Before you decided to grow the business, it wasn’t so bad. You and your team were close nit, everyone just knew what was going on, clients were helped, they were happy and you always seemed to have just enough time to get what you needed done.

But you knew that you had to grow, so you took the plunge and added a few staff, hired that second sales guy, launched that new website and now all hell has broken loose.

Nothing seems to be getting done and you are getting more and more bogged down in what seems busy work, or worse, just correcting everyone else’s mistakes.

Well, I’m happy to say, there is a way out.

There is a reason you are in this never-ending cope. The problem is your team.

Your team don’t know what they need to do.

Of course, you’ve told them a dozen times and every time you see a mistake, you correct it then and there and fix it, only to have the same problems come back a week or two later.

If telling them, constantly correcting them, constantly fixing it yourself doesn’t solve it, then what is the solution?

Well, one solution could be to get rid of the whole team and hire a brand new team and maybe they will do a better job, but that to me sounds like gambling and a pretty poor bet at that.

I don’t like gambling my future, I much prefer doing things that will win.

Well then, what is the solution?

It’s simple, as all truths are. You need to train them. You need to tell them what they need to do and how to do it.

Where do you start?

Simple.

Next time you have to “correct a mistake” write down how it should be done right. That becomes policy.

What is policy?

Simply, policy is a laid out, written record of how an organization operates, showing what decisions should be made, when and by who.

Your primary role as a business owner or CEO is to make good policy, get that policy known and get that policy applied. A brilliant manager within your team then has the job of getting that policy known and applied by the team.

An exceptional manager will not bring you problems when policy is missing, but will bring you a newly proposed policy outlining what they think should happen.

You can write this policy in any document and email it to your team and get them to read it, you could even print it out and distribute it. Or you could use MetaPulse to manage all that distribution for you with our Knowledge feature.

No matter how you do it, get one written today and get it out to your team. Then get another one written and another one after that and keep getting them distributed, understood and applied and pretty soon the chaos will go away, order will reign and your business will stably grow. 2021 - Another Year of Stellar Growth and New Features!

It’s been another amazing year at MetaPulse and we want to thank you for your support and patronage during 2021.

The biggest visible change was our rebranding from envisage to MetaPulse, the World’s First Growth Management System™ Application. I am really happy with this change of name and direction and it really sets the stage of what we are trying to achieve here at MetaPulse.

We also launched our Chinese translation of MetaPulse, allowing billions of people to use our platform in their native language.

And we launched Knowledge — a powerful feature to train your team and keep all of your knowledge, procedures and training all in one place — and aligned with the Org Chart. 

And with those changes happening in the background, we continued to expand! We now have over 6,800 users on MetaPulse with more than 1,600 joining this last year!

More than 90,000 graphs have been created that track 12 million individual statistical entries. On average, that’s 3 new graphs every hour and 1 new entry every 15 seconds.

We also performed very important background updates to ensure speed, security and functionality.

Our Help Center has grown to 223 articles and we handled almost 1,300 support enquiries with 99.1% either happy or extremely happy with our service.  

What does this all mean?

It means 2022 is going to be even better! We’ve got more exciting features planned for the world's first Growth Management System Application.

Share Your Knowledge with Anyone

Our recently launched Knowledge feature, with built-in glossary, now has another added benefit - the Guest feature.

This allows you to easily and securely share your Knowledge Items with people outside your organization. 

People such as contractors and service providers aren’t usually given access to MetaPulse, yet they really are part of your Org Chart. 

To avoid the hassles of providing access to such roles, we’ve created the Guest feature, which gives them access only to the policies and procedures they need.

Guests can complete study assignments too!

Train New Recruits

In addition to providing access to non-employee roles, the Guest feature can also be used to train new recruits on key policies and procedures you want them to study and acknowledge before you give them full access to MetaPulse. 

For those who successfully complete the required training, you can easily promote them to a Member with their own graphs and post them on the Org Chart.

Welcome to MetaPulse!

Today we launch a new era in the growth of our company. It is goodbye envisage.io and hello MetaPulse.com, the World’s First Growth Management System™ (GMS).

They say nothing is constant except change, but saying goodbye is always hard and especially to a name and brand that has served us so well since 2014.

So why the change?

When I started the goal was to help businesses everywhere grow by providing them with easy-to-see data about their team and provide actionable insights.

We started with graphs and built one of the most powerful systems for measuring KPIs and data across any company, including a trend identification system to provide a rapid, high level “heat map” feeling for every graph so it’s easy to see if it is performing well or needs attention.

Then we built the Org Chart feature providing a way for every team member to know who everyone is in the company and what they do. 

Next we launched Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) and in the process solved the number one issue with team planning by providing a way to align all Objectives and Key Results against the Org Chart, ensuring that the OKRs of every team member are aligned with their managers all the way up the line.

After this we built our Reports and Events features, allowing teams everywhere to track key moments in the company as well as having a place to report situations that needed enhancing or correcting.

And most recently we launched Knowledge, a system I personally have been looking forward to for years, providing companies with one place to store policy, procedures and training materials and track their dissemination through their entire team.  All again linked back to the Org Chart and ensuring that new and existing team members get the knowledge they need to successfully do their jobs.

The above key modules have been flanked by thousands of other features, from complex reporting functions, email and notification systems and even slack integrations.

The system really did allow business owners to “envisage” what was going on.

So again, why the change?

In early 2021, we went to the market and individually surveyed over 50 CEOs of companies with more than 50 staff in every conceivable industry and we found that:

94% of the CEOs surveyed had no way
to track the individual production of each
team member, unit, department, section, division, etc.

On top of that it got worse…

48% of those same CEOs we spoke with
stated that finding and retaining good employees
was their biggest source of frustration.

This was obvious because how could any company that doesn’t know what’s happening with every individual in it, hope to find and keep great employees?

We then realised that every company has a pulse.

And that the strength of that pulse is determined by the vital signs
exhibited by every team member. Cumulatively, this affects the
pulse of the organization itself.

So we thought; what if an organization could monitor its own health, vitality and productivity from the smallest piece of the organization to the largest segment? We’d be talking about what many call metadata: “a set of data that describes and gives information about other data.”

And what if every CEO, executive and team member could have at their fingertips a single system which enabled them to perceive what was going on in any part of the organization right now, while also being able to disseminate knowledge fast enough to empower each employee precisely for their responsibilities and dial into the exact cause of organizational growth and contraction?

We would be talking about accurately and efficiently measuring the pulse of the organization and its lifeblood — something that not only takes the pulse of your company and everybody in it but monitors the vital life signs of your organization with real-time precision.

So we came up with something new:

Advanced Math Functions are here!

Our popular Calculated Graph feature has had an upgrade!

Now you can use the following functions within graph formulas:

• Max(Graph1, Graph2, etc)

• Min(Graph1, Graph2, etc)

Here’s how they work:

Let’s say you want to track and reward the Highest Sales for the month.

To do that, you compare all sales graphs. Using the Max() function, the graph will automatically calculate the highest sales for that period. Keep in mind, you can include two or more graphs within the formula.

Click on the Data Point to view the details and easily see who achieved the highest sales among your team.

The Min() function works in the same way but will return the lowest value from a list of graphs. You can include two or more graphs within the formula.

Another example of how you could use this feature is tracking a support statistic. You could track the fastest time to reply to support tickets or client queries. Conversely, you could track the slowest time, allowing you to drill into the detail of which support personnel need more training so you can improve company service and profitability.
