Statistics that follow you around the Org Chart … no matter where you go!

As your business expands, here’s one problem you may encounter ...

What happens to the stats
when a person changes their post in your business?

Should the existing graphs be assigned to a new person?

Or should you archive those graphs and create new ones?

Either solution creates more problems for management, who need to be able to look back historically and see the actual stats for the post, as well as the individual.

Well, for those of you with big expansion plans, you’ll be happy to know we solved it.

And you’re going to love it.

Here’s how it works:

We call this feature Concatenated Graphs.

Concatenate means link (things) together in a chain or series. It’s comes from a Latin word meaning ‘linked together.’

Let’s use Joe and Sam, our heros from the book Rise of the Champions as an example, along with the fictitious business from that book—Champion Printing.

Joe starts off as a Salesman who gets promoted to Sales Manager of Central City Branch. As Champion Printing grows and opens up more offices, Joe is promoted again to National Sales Manager.

Sam, the new sales recruit, gets promoted to replace Joe as Sales Manager of Central City Branch. Here’s what it looks like:

Ideally we’d like to keep a track of Joe’s and Sam’s results as Salesmen, plus we also want to keep Joe’s results as Branch Sales Manager once he’s promoted to National Sales Manager.

To do this we’ll use the Concatenated Graphs feature to link the graphs as follows:

With Joe now the National Sales Manager, Sam gets promoted and takes over as Branch Sales Manager. We also use the concatenated feature to keep Sam’s history.

What about the post of Sales Manager? It’s had two different people hold that post. Well the concatenated feature is also used to maintain a full history of the results, by linking both Joe’s and Sam’s results using the concatenated feature as shown below.

Summary

The whole purpose of keeping statistics is to know exactly what's going on in your business and to compare it to the past to see what worked and what didn’t.

Being able to keep accurate records of more than one individual’s performance as well as the history of the post, provides vital information every business owner needs.

The concatenate feature makes that possible.

And we hope, as you grow, you’ll use it!
