Save Paper - Use Share Links
If you’re endeavoring to create a “paperless office environment” then this article is for you.
Envisage makes it easy to share your graphs, without having to print.
This is especially useful for those with staff who work remotely or for managers and owners who travel.
During our weekly meeting at exec.io, we have people spread around the global: in Perth, Western Australia, Sydney on the east coast of Australia and yours truly in Florida, USA.
So printing graphs for our team meeting is pointless.
Instead we use the share link. Here’s how we do it.
Once the stats are updated for the week, I find the Graph Group called Weekly Meeting, with graphs arranged in a specific order.
Then I hit the Share Link button, copy the link and send it to the team before the meeting.
Each member who clicks on the link will need to login to access.
During the meeting, we’re all looking at the same stats, arranged in the same order.
Alternative Method
Let’s say you have some people on your team that don’t have access to envisage.
An alternative way to share the weekly stats is by using the Print Share Link. This doesn’t require the user to login and can therefore be shared with anyone.
This works in a similar way to the above method, only instead of using the Share Link, you “Print” and then click the Print Share Link as shown below.
Note, this link will expire after several says, so you’re only providing temporary access to the stats, as they are at that time.
Paperless
The above methods not only saves papers and time, but allows each user to modify the graphs, changing them to weekly or monthly and drill down into the detail.
It’s a win win for everyone and the environment.
Give it a try.
